Bullying

Anti-Bullying Alliance (www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk) The Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) was founded by NSPCC and National Children's Bureau in 2002. It is hosted and supported by NCB. The Alliance brings together 68 organisations into one network with the aim of reducing bullying and creating safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.

Tackling school bullying (Teachernet)

Childline (www.childline.org.uk) Lots of pages about bullying, including how to stop bullying, why bullies do it and helping a friend.

Bullying Online (www.bullying.co.uk) A very detailed site from the world's leading anti-bullying charity. As well as lots of general information pages, there are sections on cyberbullying, bullying in sport, racist and homophobic bullying, and help for bullies who want to change.

Kidscape (www.kidscape.org.uk) Kidscape is another UK charity committed to fighting bullying. T

Stop Cyberbullying (www.stopcyberbullying.org) A site that focuses on the issues of cyberbullying.

Reports and Guidance

CHIPS (ChildLine in Partnerships) have published "Dealing with bullying and the importance of friends" - a pack for teachers working with young people in pupil referral units and other out of school provisions. It can also be used in informal educative settings such as youth clubs.
