Hands On Scotland - an online resource for anybody working with children and young people. The website is a one-stop shop for practical information and techniques on how to respond helpfully to children and young people's troubling behaviour, build up their self-esteem and promote their positive mental wellbeing.  (Although developed in Scotland, it is relevant for work throughout the UK)

A generation under stress? Girlguiding UK and the Mental Health Foundation, July 2008, Many teenage girls see self-harm as normal behaviour, according to this research. The report - A generation under stress? - found girls aged 10-15 felt under pressure to grow up before they felt ready.
