Swindon LSCB Training - Safeguarding Children in Faith Communities
Target Group: Levels 1, 2 & 3 – Members of Faith Groups/Communities
Numbers: 30 Delegates Maximum
Aim
To offer representatives of faith groups the opportunity to increase their general awareness of all issues around the safeguarding of children & young people.
Objectives
- To define the types of abuse.
- To summarise the impact of abuse on children & their families.
- To clarify what to do if there are concerns about a child being abused.
- To develop safe practice within a Faith Group/Community.
- To construct a child protection policy.
- To list the roles of the statutory agencies.
- To explain how to make a child protection referral.
Course Length: 3 x 2 hour sessions or 1 x 6 hour session.
