Swindon LSCB Training - Children & Young Persons Sexually Exploited Through Prostitution
Target Group: Level 1, 2 or 3
Priority for people working with young people where this could be an issue.
Numbers: 24 Delegates Maximum
Aim
To raise awareness of children and young people who are sexually exploited.
Objectives
- Describe the legal position relating to children and young people exploited through child prostitution
- Identify the signs and indicators of children and young people at risk of, or involved with, sexual exploitation.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the local protocol for management of children and young people exploited through prostitution.
- Describe how to consult and refer appropriately.
- State how their own and their agency’s role fits in the Child Protection framework.
- Demonstrate and describe the importance of working in partnership with other agencies.
Course length: 1 day
