Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnerhship NHS Trust

Avon & Wiltshire partnership provides a range of services for people with mental health problems across a large geographical area that includes Swindon.

There are community mental health teams who can work with people over a period of time offering a range of interventions.

A crisis resolution and home treatment service, which responds to psychiatric emergencies and supports people until the crisis has passed, operates 24/7 and will take referrals from any source.

The teams take a care management approach. Within this model, where necessary, the needs of  children in the family are addressed in co-operation with children and families services.

Safegurding of children is a responsibility for the trust which is taken seriously.  

All care managers are trained in child protection thorough the joint training programme.
